After being federally legalized in December of 2018, CBD products are beginning to pop up worldwide and become more prevent. According to a 2019 Gallup Poll on CBD use about 1 in 7 U.S. adults personally use CBD products having tinctures being one of the most common. Having said that, lets explore more about CBD tinctures.
What is tincture?
CBD tincture is an oil based extract produced by steeping isolates or dry cannabis flowers in a high grain alcohol then applying low heat for a generous amount of time. This process allows the natural components of the cannabis plant to be extracted out.
How to take tincture
As we learned in the paragraph above, CBD tincture is a highly concentrated product. With that being said, tinctures are typically intended to be taken in small doses. Most CBD tinctures ( especially Green Gold's 😉) have built in droppers that allow the consumer to take carefully measured doses. Tinctures can be dosed in drinks, foods, or just as is, dropped under/on to the tongue. The National Center for Natural Products Research found that dosing CBD tincture sublingually synthesizes cannabinoids more easily and persistently available to the body than other oral alternatives.
